Description

This service resolves a PID into the corresponding URL. The highly reliable ePIC consortium infrastructure guarantee this process to always point to the URL associated to the given PID. What cannot be guaranteed is that the URL is up to date.

Sandbox for PID

Description

The sandox for PID allows you to learn PID functionalities by managing the PID creation and corresponding metadata editing in a safe way using PID created in the test namespace 21.T17999.

The management can occur either through an interactive interface or through a RESTful API.

This service has no cost and is available for one year after subscripion.

Provision of PID prefixes in the Swiss namespace

Description

This service provides for your organization an own PID prefix in the Swiss namespace managed by CSCS (21.17xxx and 21.T17xxx). The custom PREFIXs range starts at 21.17102, with the last three digits going up, and the test ones from 21.T17998 with the last three digits counting down.

You will then be able to create your own PID and manage its corresponding metadata.

The management can occur either through an interactive interface or through a RESTful API.

The cost of this service is CHF 600.00 per year for a pair of prefixes (test + persistent) and includes the creation of up to 500’000 PIDs. An additional fee for the creation of more PID will apply.

Persistent storage with national PID prefix

Description

Shortly CSCS will offer a long-term storage service that allows researchers to securely and reliably conserve their data for a sizeable amount of time on the CSCS premises and access them through a national PID prefix.
